I spent the last few weeks trying to write my next blog and started and stopped a few times. I mean there are so many real estate blogs out there and they all say the same thing. I want to stand out and make a difference for people trying to get into real estate investing. With this in mind I just thought back to 2009 when I was fumbling through the learning process kinda half in and half out because I was afraid to commit 100% and fail. I figured if I gave 10% effort then I had a good excuse for failing. I don't know about you but I think that is typical of someone trying something new. Especially the under achiever. I think that is me in a phrase. That was my problem my first year. So I got laid off and I started getting low on funds. That helped me to realize I gotta make this work. I wasn't going to find a job like the one I'd been laid of from and the truth was I was sick of that industry. I was sick of having a boss and punching a time clock. I really enjoyed my first year of entrepreneurship and maybe had too much fun. It was time to buckle down and get serious.
So that was 2009 and here we are 2016, nearly 2017, and I'm still doing it. Well I guess I have some valuable tips and experience to share and I'm gonna do the best I can. I hope you enjoy the upcoming blogs and stories about my journey towards being a full time real estate investor for nearly 9 years now! Wow, I'm letting that sink in. When I first got into flipping houses I started with leads that came by referral and expanded to bandit signs and even tried mailers. I now use 3 sources for my leads consistently to keep me busy doing flips. I'm gonna share those over the next few weeks and keep you up to date on my current deals. The good and the bad. I hope I can make a difference for you. Contact me if you have any questions.
